PRIMARY CONSULTANT - Nicolas Frias, M.Sc.
Consultations and appraisals are reviewed by a CMS Federally-Certified Health Surveyor and former State of Florida Health Facility Investigator with 15 years of clinical/health regulatory practice experience. The Primary Consultant has a record of prevailing in all legally-contested cases while in public health service for the people in the State of Florida. Consultant possesses additional years of public administration, educational and regulatory expertise in geriatric care management, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation and acute care health facilities, health care clinics and unlicensed health care activity. Consultant holds a Bachelor of Health Science degree with a major in Physical Therapy and is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine with a Master of Medical Science degree in Gerontology and Aging Biology. Consultant is also presently an Adjunct Professor at Lynn University who teaches undergraduate coursework in Scientific and Critical Inquiry.
REGISTERED NURSE - Valerie Schofield, BSN
Consultations requiring clinical expertise are reviewed by a Professional Nurse with experience in hospital, long-term care and crisis intervention settings. The Specialized Consultant provides advise relating to intricate medication management protocols and the day-to-day care of medically-compromised patients/residents, which pose increased risks to your health facility. Specialized Consultant will counsel your facility whenever deficiencies are cited by the State Agency relating to events that led to patient/resident hospitalization or whenever resident/patient harm is identified.

Consultations requiring legal expertise and representation are reviewed by a State licensed attorney with experience in health care licensure, civil law practice and mal/misfeasance related cases. Hiring of an attorney is a serious consideration by a health facility that faces a State Agency administrative action. MEDICAL CONSULTANT - Erich Arias, M.D.
Consultations requiring medical expertise are reviewed by a State licensed physician with experience in outpatient/inpatient medical practice, emergency and rehabilitation care settings. Hiring of a physician is recommended whenever medical/nursing services and medication-related deficiencies are deemed egregious by the State Agency or previous deficiencies have not been corrected by the health facility. An established course of action is proposed with the physician's endorsement.
